First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested a gel called SGX302 (synthetic hypericin) combined with visible light to treat mild-to-moderate psoriasis. Fifteen adults with plaque psoriasis applied the gel to their skin and received light therapy over 18 weeks. The goal was to see if the treatment could clear or nearly clear psoriasis patches, with results measured using a standard skin-clearing scale.
