First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a common diabetes drug (SGLT2 inhibitor) can help prevent another heart attack or stroke in people with type 2 diabetes who have already had a heart attack. Researchers will compare the health outcomes of 200,000 patients who took either an SGLT2 inhibitor or another diabetes drug after their heart attack. The goal is to see which drug works better in real-world conditions.
