Experimental drug aims to save heart muscle during heart attack
NCT ID NCT07306182
Summary
This study is testing whether a new, single-dose injection called SGC001 can help reduce permanent heart damage in people who are having a major heart attack affecting the front of the heart. The drug is given during emergency treatment to open a blocked artery. Researchers will compare SGC001 to a placebo (dummy injection) in 210 Chinese patients to see if it better protects the heart muscle and prevents future heart problems.
