First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a nerve block called Serratus plane block can reduce pain during chest tube placement in intensive care patients. About 70 awake, non-intubated adults will be randomly assigned to receive either the nerve block or standard local anesthesia. The goal is to see if this technique provides better pain relief and improves patient comfort.
