Summary
This study tested a new rapid blood test called SeroSelectTB to see if it can diagnose active tuberculosis (TB) faster than current methods. Over 9,000 adults in South Africa, Tanzania, and Ethiopia who had symptoms of TB or pneumonia took part. The goal is to give same-day results at local clinics, reducing delays in starting treatment and lowering the spread of TB.
