Summary
This study aims to understand how a specific type of white blood cell, called a neutrophil, behaves in children with sepsis, a life-threatening infection. Researchers will compare blood samples from children with sepsis to those without to see how these cells change and potentially cause harm to organs. The goal is to gather information that could help develop future treatments to protect patients from this damage.
