Blood markers vs. clinical scores: which best predicts sepsis outcomes?

NCT ID NCT07464054

First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether certain blood markers (like NLR, PLR, PNI, and SII) can predict how severe sepsis is and who might die from it. Researchers will compare these markers to standard scoring systems (SOFA and APACHE) in 61 ICU patients with sepsis. The goal is to find a simpler, faster way to assess risk, but no new treatment is being tested.
