First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a sensory mindfulness technique could reduce stress and improve well-being in mothers whose babies are in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and who are feeding their babies with expressed breast milk. Sixty mothers participated, learning mindfulness practices alongside standard breastfeeding education. The goal was to see if this approach helps mothers feel calmer and supports milk production during a challenging time.
