Summary
This study tested whether semaglutide (Rybelsus), a drug used for diabetes, can help people with alcohol use disorder drink less. Fifty adults who wanted to cut down took either the drug or a placebo for 8 weeks. Researchers measured changes in alcohol cravings and daily drinking to see if the drug is safe and effective for this purpose.
