Summary
This study tests whether semaglutide, a drug used for diabetes and weight loss, can safely help people with alcohol use disorder drink less. About 67 adults will receive weekly shots of either semaglutide or a placebo for 20 weeks, along with behavioral therapy and brain scans. The goal is to see if the drug reduces alcohol consumption and cravings.
