NCT ID NCT05453110

First seen Nov 04, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looked at whether teaching cadets about back pain—either warning them about injury risk or reassuring them about spine strength—affects how much weight they can lift and their confidence. Over 900 new U.S. Military Academy cadets took part during basic training in summer 2022. The goal was to see if self-belief and education can influence performance and injury risk.
