Could At-Home pap tests revolutionize cervical cancer screening?

NCT ID NCT04093388

Summary

This study is testing whether a Pap smear a woman collects herself is as accurate as one collected by a doctor or nurse. Researchers are enrolling 250 women in rural Alabama who are due for routine cervical cancer screening. Each participant will provide both a self-collected sample and a provider-collected sample to compare the results.
