First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether eating specific seeds during different parts of the menstrual cycle can reduce premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms. 48 healthy women aged 18-35 with regular cycles ate flax and pumpkin seeds in the first half of their cycle, and sesame and sunflower seeds in the second half, for three months. The goal was to see if this simple diet change could ease physical and emotional PMS symptoms.
