Seed cycling: a natural approach to menstrual health?

NCT ID NCT07052500

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether eating certain seeds during different parts of the menstrual cycle can help make periods more regular, reduce cramps, and ease PMS symptoms. About 50 women with irregular cycles or painful periods will eat flax and pumpkin seeds early in their cycle, then sunflower and sesame seeds later, for three months. The goal is to see if this simple diet change can improve menstrual health without medication.
