Blood test for leg artery patients falls short in early trial
NCT ID NCT04007055
First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at whether screening people with peripheral artery disease for high platelet reactivity (a tendency for blood to clot) before leg artery procedures could improve outcomes. The trial planned to enroll many participants but was stopped early with only 31 people. The main goal was to see if the artery stayed open longer without needing another procedure. Because the study was terminated, results are limited.
