First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at 646 older Black and Hispanic adults with heart failure to find out how many have a condition called cardiac amyloidosis, where abnormal proteins build up in the heart. Researchers used sensitive heart scans and blood tests to detect the disease. The goal was to understand how common it is in these groups and explore differences by genetics, age, and sex.
