First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests an online program called SCI&U that pairs people with spinal cord injury (SCI) with trained peer health coaches. The goal is to help participants manage their health, feel less distressed, and gain confidence after leaving the hospital. About 76 adults in British Columbia and Connecticut who have had an SCI for less than three years will take part in up to 14 one-hour online sessions. Researchers will compare their progress to those receiving usual peer support over six months.
