First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether Schroth exercises, a special type of physical therapy for scoliosis, can change brain structure and improve movement and body awareness in teenage girls. Fifty-four girls with mild scoliosis (curve up to 25 degrees) took part. The goal was to see if these exercises affect brain areas that control movement and sensation, not just the spine.
