NCT ID NCT00594997

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested whether a short, in-class educational program could help children aged 7 to 12 living in areas with high Lyme disease rates learn how to protect themselves. The program taught kids about personal protective practices, early disease detection, and reducing tick habitats around their homes. Researchers compared reported Lyme disease cases and prevention behaviors before and after the program to see if it made a difference.
