NCT ID NCT06082726
First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at how short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) enter the bloodstream when delivered to different parts of the gut. Thirteen healthy adults took capsules that released SCFAs in either the small intestine or the colon. Researchers took blood samples over 12 hours to compare absorption. The goal is to better understand how the body processes these important nutrients.
