First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study compares two catheter ablation methods for people with persistent atrial fibrillation (AFib). One method only isolates the pulmonary veins, while the other also targets scar tissue in the left atrium. The goal is to see which approach better prevents abnormal heart rhythms from returning within a year. About 204 adults with moderate scarring will take part.
