First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding scapular stabilization exercises to standard shoulder rehab helps people with subacromial impingement syndrome, a common cause of shoulder pain. Sixty adults with shoulder pain were randomly assigned to either the special exercises or a conventional program. Researchers measured pain, function, and quality of life over 12 weeks to see which approach worked better.
