String Players' neck pain under the microscope: new study aims to improve performance and recovery
NCT ID NCT07448857
First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at how the shoulder blade moves and which muscles are active in upper string players (like violinists) who have neck pain, compared to those without pain. Researchers will measure muscle activity and movement while players lift their arms and perform music tasks. The goal is to use these findings to create better training and rehab programs to prevent and treat playing-related injuries.
