Summary
This study looks at whether routine screening for heart disease is a good use of healthcare money for people with type 2 diabetes who are at very high risk but have no known heart problems. Researchers will analyze data from 90,000 patients in French health databases to compare costs and health outcomes over 4 years. The goal is to help decide if this screening should be a standard public health strategy.
