Mayo clinic launches major heart condition database to solve medical mystery

NCT ID NCT01429727

Summary

This study aims to build a large database of people who have experienced a spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), a rare and poorly understood heart condition. Researchers will collect medical information from up to 2,500 participants to identify patterns in who gets SCAD, how it's treated, and how patients fare long-term. The goal is to gather knowledge to guide future research and improve care for this condition.
