Precision radiation zaps spine tumor pain better than standard therapy?

This study tested whether a precise, high-dose radiation technique called stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) works better than standard radiation for relieving pain from spinal tumors that have spread from other cancers. 219 adults with confirmed cancer and painful spine metastases took part. The main goal was to see if SBRT leads to greater pain reduction at 6 months. The approach uses detailed imaging to target the tumor while sparing healthy tissue.
