Triple therapy before lung cancer surgery shows promise in major trial

NCT ID NCT06437977

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding targeted radiation (SBRT) to immunotherapy (toripalimab) and chemotherapy before surgery can improve outcomes for people with stage II-III non-small cell lung cancer. About 478 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the triple combination or just immunotherapy plus chemo. The main goals are to see if the triple therapy delays cancer return and increases the chance of no cancer being found in the removed tissue.
