Triple threat before surgery: new combo aims to crush lung cancer

This study tests whether adding targeted radiation (SBRT) to a standard pre-surgery mix of immunotherapy (toripalimab) and chemotherapy helps people with stage II-III non-small cell lung cancer live longer without the cancer coming back. About 478 adults who have not had prior treatment will be randomly assigned to receive either the triple combination or just the immunotherapy and chemo before their tumor is removed. The main goals are to see if the new approach improves cancer-free survival and increases the chance of having no cancer cells left at the time of surgery.
