5-Day radiation blast for prostate cancer: less time, same control?
NCT ID NCT03889119
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at a faster type of radiation called SBRT for men with localized prostate cancer that hasn't spread. Instead of 42-45 daily treatments, SBRT delivers higher doses in just 5 sessions. The goal is to see how well it controls the cancer over time and what side effects men experience, using questionnaires to track quality of life. About 100 men with low to high-risk prostate cancer are taking part.
