New radioactive drug targets tough prostate cancers

Summary

This study tests a new radioactive drug, 225Ac-PSMA-R2, in men with advanced prostate cancer that has spread. The drug seeks out and delivers radiation to cancer cells. The goal is to find a safe dose and see if it shrinks tumors. About 33 men with either hormone-sensitive or castration-resistant prostate cancer will take part.
