Summary
This study tested a new saliva test that looks for specific markers (miRNAs) to diagnose endometriosis, a painful condition affecting the uterus. Over 1,100 women aged 18 to 43 with confirmed or suspected endometriosis provided a saliva sample. The goal was to see if the test could accurately identify the disease, potentially reducing the long delay—often years—that many women face before getting a diagnosis.
