Summary
This study tests a new drug called salanersen (BIIB115) in people aged 15 to 60 with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). The drug aims to help the body produce more of a key protein needed for muscle and nerve function. Participants receive one injection into the spinal fluid each year for 5 years. The main goal is to see if motor function improves after 12 months.
