New cholesterol drug shows promise in major trial

Summary
This study tested a new medicine called SAL003 in 618 adults with high cholesterol. Participants received either the drug or a placebo every 4 weeks for 12 weeks. The goal was to see if SAL003 could safely lower 'bad' LDL cholesterol more than placebo. After 12 weeks, all participants could receive the drug for another 40 weeks.
