First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether a diabetes drug (empagliflozin) and a nitrate supplement (potassium nitrate) can help people with a type of heart failure called HFpEF exercise longer. About 53 adults with stable heart failure will take the drugs for a period and then do a treadmill test to measure endurance. The goal is to see if these treatments improve energy use in muscles and blood flow.
