Could stress-blocking pills boost melanoma treatment?

NCT ID NCT05968690

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether adding two common drugs—naltrexone and propranolol—to standard immunotherapy (ipilimumab and nivolumab) is safe for people with advanced melanoma. The drugs target stress pathways that may help tumors grow. About 12 adults with stage 3 or 4 melanoma will take part. The main goal is to find the best dose and check for side effects.
