Stress-Blocking drug combo may boost melanoma immunotherapy

NCT ID NCT05968690

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether adding two common drugs—naltrexone and propranolol—to standard immunotherapy can safely help control advanced melanoma. The drugs target stress pathways that may weaken the immune system's ability to fight tumors. About 12 adults with advanced melanoma will receive the combination to find the safest dose and check for early signs of benefit.
