High-Tech home help for seniors falls short: study halted
NCT ID NCT02288221
First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if a set of smart home technologies—like automatic scent diffusers and motion-sensor games—could improve safety and quality of life for older adults with mild memory problems. Only 4 people took part before the study was stopped early. The main goal was to check if seniors would actually use the devices, not to measure health outcomes.
