Could a simple drug save more brain after stroke?

Summary
This study tests whether the drug anakinra can limit brain damage in people who have had a severe stroke and have already undergone a procedure to reopen a blocked artery. About 159 adults aged 18-80 will receive either standard care or anakinra at different doses. The goal is to see if anakinra can reduce the growth of the stroke-damaged area on MRI scans and improve recovery at 90 days.
