First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a smartphone app to track sleep and daily activities, combined with coaching to keep a regular sleep-wake cycle, could help people with depression recover faster and avoid relapse after leaving a psychiatric hospital. 103 adults with major depression participated. The goal was to see if this approach, called Circadian Reinforcement Therapy, could improve mood and reduce the need for readmission.
