Can a Parent-Teen program stop risky driving and prevent repeat violations?

NCT ID NCT05696353

Summary

This study is testing a program designed to help teens who have already received a traffic violation become safer drivers and avoid future tickets or crashes. It involves 580 teen-parent pairs from Ohio, where teens will use a device in their car and a phone app that monitors driving habits like speeding and hard braking. The program focuses on improving communication between parents and teens about safe driving practices to see if it reduces risky behavior.
