Simple back pad could make emergency IV lines easier

NCT ID NCT06916741

Summary

This study is testing if placing a gel pad under a patient's lower back (a sacral lift) makes a major leg vein larger and easier to see on an ultrasound. Researchers want to know if this helps doctors place emergency IV lines more successfully. They will compare ultrasound measurements of the vein with and without the pad in adult emergency room patients.
