New drug may tame dangerous immune overreaction after cancer treatment

Summary

This early study tests the drug ruxolitinib for a rare but serious inflammatory condition called IEC-HS that can happen after CAR-T cell therapy for cancer. Sixteen adults will take the drug twice daily for up to 8 weeks. Researchers will check if the treatment helps control the inflammation and track any side effects.
