First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a new immunotherapy called RUTI, given alongside standard antibiotics, in 41 adults with active lung tuberculosis. The goal was to see if RUTI could boost the immune system to kill both active and hidden bacteria, potentially speeding recovery and preventing drug resistance. The study measured safety and how quickly the bacteria were cleared from sputum. Results will show if adding RUTI to standard care is safe and effective.
