Running water sounds may ease anxiety during bladder exams

NCT ID NCT07451548

First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether playing recorded running water sounds during a bladder function test helps patients feel less anxious and improves test results. About 240 Chinese women with urinary symptoms will be randomly assigned to hear the sounds or have the test as usual. The goal is to see if a simple, non-drug approach can make the experience more comfortable and yield better measurements.
