Summary
This study tested a non-drug treatment called repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for depression in people over 60. The goal was to see if this safe, side-effect-free method could reduce depressive symptoms. 108 older adults with major depression received either real or sham (fake) stimulation. The study measured changes in depression scores to evaluate effectiveness.
