Brain zapping study seeks clues to fibromyalgia pain

NCT ID NCT07260864

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at how a treatment called rTMS (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation) changes brain activity in 20 women with fibromyalgia. Researchers will use brain scans to compare the effects of stimulating the left versus right motor cortex. The goal is to understand how rTMS works in the brain, not to test it as a cure or treatment.
