Scientists track RSV virus in Vietnam's elderly hospital patients
NCT ID NCT07239583
Summary
This study aims to understand how common RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) infections are among older adults hospitalized for breathing problems in Vietnam. Researchers will observe 1,000 patients aged 60+ who are already receiving standard hospital care, collecting samples and health data. The goal is to gather information about which RSV strains are present, how severe the illness gets, and what healthcare resources are used, which could help guide future vaccination and prevention plans.
