First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at how the immune system of older adults (ages 60-75) responds to the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Researchers exposed 28 healthy volunteers to a controlled dose of RSV to track their immune reactions and any side effects. The goal is to understand why older people are more vulnerable to RSV and to help design better vaccines for this age group.
