New shot aims to shield seniors from two major respiratory viruses
NCT ID NCT06556147
Summary
This study is testing a new vaccine called VXB-241, designed to protect against two common viruses that cause serious lung infections: RSV and HMPV. It will involve 144 healthy adults, mostly aged 60-83, to check if the vaccine is safe and if it triggers a good immune response. Researchers will test four different dose strengths and compare the new vaccine to an existing RSV shot and a placebo.
