New program aims to break cycle of trauma in refugee families

Summary
This study tests a program to help teens born in the U.S. to refugee parents deal with emotional and behavioral problems like PTSD, depression, and anxiety. About 308 teens and their parents will join weekly group sessions and virtual peer mentoring to learn coping skills. Researchers will compare them to a group receiving usual care to see if symptoms improve.
